For Aistear, in Miss T Reilly's class, the children are learning about the airport. They are practicing checking in for their holiday and boarding the plane. It is time to release the butterflies that were in room 5. Their wings are strong enough to help them to fly away to find their own food. They loved their time with Miss T Reilly's class.
The children in room 5 went on a minibeast hunt today. We saw many different insects including bees, wasps, dragonflies, spiders and woodlouse. The children did a great job spotting the different insects around the school grounds.
Five baby caterpillars are in our class and we are going to watch them go through the lifecycle and eventually change into Painted Lady butterflies over the next while.
