Mr. Ben Dundon (Principal)

I am delighted that you took the time to check out our new website. I hope that your visit will give you a flavour of
life in a large modern primary school. The area served by the school is a mixture of local authority and
private
housing. We feel that this mix is healthy and is similar to many towns outside Dublin. St. Ronan's reflects
the multi-cultural nature of modern Ireland. As well as enriching the cultural life of the school, many of
these international children have enjoyed a high level of academic success.

Our school community decided that:

"St. Ronan's is here to enable children, parents and teachers to work together in a secure environment where
children can enjoy learning and achieve their full potential so that they are ready for life and become confident,
competent, responsible and happy members of their community."

The Department of Education and Science has now published educational information on its website in 6 languages -
German, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Spanish and Russian. It is hoped that the information will be of help to parents
whose first language is not English and have children of school age.
