Volunteers from SISK Construction company joined the 3rd and 4th classes to play some Maths games with the children. The children were thrilled to have the visitors to the classes and there was lots of fun and excitement. We look forward to them returning next week!
The children in 4th class had a wonderful day out visiting two museums in one day! They visited the Natural History Museum, where they saw many animals from the land and the sea. They also got to visit the National Archaeology Museum where they saw many wonderful exhibits from The Egyptians to the Vikings.
The 3rd/4th class cross country squad and the 5th and 6th class students participated in the annual 1km "Jingle Run".
Our Peer Tutoring initiative in 5th/6th class is going well. The students are benefiting from the collaborative approach and peer assisted learning. They are enjoying the new selection of reading material. We were delighted to welcome visitors from "Vantage" (our Peer Tutoring sponsors) to visit and view one of the sessions.
The children in 4th class are receiving cycling lessons from Noel from Dublin County Council.. The children are learning to rise their bikes and all about road safety.
