We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday the 2nd of March. Children took part in buddy reading sessions, designed bookmarks, book covers and wrote about their favourite characters.
The children from Junior Infants to 2nd class took part in St. Ronan's annual Halloween witches' walk. Some great costumes were on display as the children ran to some classic spooky tunes.
The children from Junior and Senior Infants participated in St. Ronan's first witches walk. The first and second classes completed the Monster Mile Plus Challenge. Here are some photographs from various trips that some children from Senior Infants and First Class have been on this year! (Parents, Grandparents, Teachers, SNAs, children, everyone!) We have a Secret Project and we want your help! Please knit patches in any colour you wish. We suggest 40 stitches 40 rows but any size will work. Drop them in Ms. Hassett in room 8. Thank you! Ms. Lenihan's fifth class visited Ms. Collins' first class last week for buddy reading. Everyone enjoyed this visit which saw the older children take time to read with the younger children. The first class students were all great readers and the fifth class children were very helpful! |
