Well done to all our children who take part in Cross country. They work hard training all year round and have represented the school so well at each of the races held outside of the school. Big thank you to their trainers; Ms O' Hare, Ms White, Ms Collins and Ms Cullen.
Abdel is an older brother of two of our infant students. The athlete spoke to the Cross Country team about his experience while on a sports scholarship in America. The children were very excited to chat with him and even challenged him to a race! Our very first school cross - country race was held in St. Cuthbert's Park on Tuesday the 28th of March. The day was dry and windy which made for a tough but enjoyable event. We had three races - 5th/6th class boys, 5th/6th class girls and 3rd/4th class boys and girls, as well as a team event. There were medals for the first three boys and girls to finish in each year level. Scores were combined for a team score. Our winning boys' team was Roscommon and our winning girls' team was Cork. Some fantastic finish times and personal bests were recorded. Post Race AssemblyThe annual 1km challenge took place in St. Cuthbert's Park. New school and class records were set. Well done to all! See below for results lists.
Well done to all the children in 4th class for completing our Cross Country Santa Run. Congratulations to our fastest boy (4:51) and fastest girl (5:00). Training will return in the New Year.

Congratulations to the first recipients in third class of the attendance award. They have attended 10 training sessions so far this season. Well done!!
