We had the parents and siblings in our class today to help the children with an art activity. The activity was based on the novel "Hodgeheg", which the children read in class. The theme of the novel and activity was road safety. Well done to all on their fantastic posters! Ms. Collins class are doing procedural writing and recently enjoyed making rice krispie buns. Music Generation were filming in our school on Thursday the 31st of January for their website. They observed violin and orchestra practices and interviewed staff and students about their experience with music.
Third Class will be performing their Christmas Play “The Nativity” on Tuesday the 18th of December in the church at 11:00 a.m. Ms Collins’ and Mr O’Reilly’s classes have been practising hard the last number of weeks to get their show ready. The classes have been learning their lines, singing the songs and rehearsing for the play. The play will tell the story of Christmas as Mary and Joseph travel to Nazareth where Jesus was born. Parents and family are invited to come along to see our show.
The children had a fantastic time completing St. Ronan's first Monster Mile Plus challenge in their Hallowe'en costumes. We are so proud of Callum Dempsey who recently received an award from South Dublin County Council. Callum joined the school cross country running team this year and he has gone on to win the incredible award for Paralympic Champion 2018. Well done Callum and keep up the hard work!
