A "Careers in Construction" event was held for 5th and 6th classes during the month of June with SISK. During this time they listened to speakers talking about their career paths and explaining their roles. They heard from engineers, members of HR and management teams, 4d planners, a supply chain analyst, a sustainability manager, a site foreman, a business coach and from Sensori. This was a wonderful opportunity. The students asked some great questions and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Third and fourth class students finished up their Time to Count programme with a site visit. The SISK team organised two buses to take the students to their plant site and a new construction site nearby. The children saw lots of construction activity and were treated to some machinery demonstrations. Later, back at school SISK organised an ice cream van for all staff and students. A wonderful day was had by all.
A huge thank you to Business in the Community and all the SISK volunteers for their work and participation in this year's Time to Count Programme. It was a great success and very much enjoyed by all the 3rd and 4th class students.
The fourth class students performed the Easter Passion and Stations of the Cross for the school and wider community. Well done to them all.
Well done to all the 5th and 6th class students who entered the Easter Bonnet competition. The level of detail and the amount of work put in was incredible. The standard was very high.
