Garda Brendan popped in to school on Friday to discuss safety at Halloween with the children. He reminded children to be cautious and to keep themselves safe when out trick or treating or attending bonfires.
3rd class have just started learning all about the violin.
They can tell you all about the parts, the names of the strings and how to hold the instrument and the bow correctly.
Please ask your child about this.
A maths table quiz was held in the hall for all children from 3rd to 6th class.
Mr. Morgan, the quizmaster kept everyone entertained with some Maths jokes throughout the afternoon.
Well done to all children for participating. In joint second place were the team of Loc, Vilte, Minh, Lucy G and Levi and the team of Natalie, Sebastian, Jake, Kevin and Kevin.

Fifth class spent September learning about the eye and the ear. They had great fun investigating what happens when an image hits the retina and investigating if sound waves can be seen travelling through air.
The fifth and sixth class hill-walking club has stared back. Three walks to Cruagh Woods have taken place and forty five children have enjoyed the hike. The walkers were blessed with fabulous weather during all three walks. The hill-walking club will resume in early Spring.
3rd class started Accelerated Reader. It is all new to them but they are enjoying reading the books and taking the quizzes after they have read the book. If you are a 3rd class parent, please ask your child about this.
